Job Title 

Junior Scenic Carpenter

Reporting To 

 Matt Williams and Dan Robinson – Directors

Department Location 

Eltisley Business Park, Potton Road, St Neots PE19 6TB & onsite

Main Purpose 

To be able to help support a team in an area with increasing demand. To support and work alongside the Scenic team, maintaining the quality and standards of scenic items in a safe and positive work environment.

Duties and 

Responsibilities 

  • To work within the Scenic department to ensure that all carpentry jobs are prepped to exacting standards, customised for each project across the group, and meet the client’s needs onsite.
  • To assist with preparation of textiles as required.
  • To ensure that warehouse procedures are adhered to.
  • To work collaboratively with outside organisations in the preparation of kit when required.
  • To ensure H&S requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • To assist other departments across the group as and when required.
  • To work on site if required.
  • Any other duties as required.

Skills 

  • Previous experience of the Live Events / Scenic Industry desirable
  • Basic carpentry skills essential
  • Must be fluent in the English language 
  • A full, clean driving licence desirable

Terms and Conditions 

Core Hours 40 hrs per week, 5 days out of 7, Monday – Sunday as required

Flexibility and availability out or hours (inc evenings and weekends) is required subject to the requirements of the role. Overtime available at the discretion of management.

Scope or Scale 

Liaison with Client, Staff Members, Sub Contractors and Suppliers
